This seven-day basic skipper course will immerse you in the picturesque waters around Pula and the nearby islands of the northern Adriatic. During this comprehensive program, you will have the opportunity to test and refine your theoretical understanding and practical skills, even in less than ideal weather conditions. Once you have successfully demonstrated your abilities, you will be ready to navigate independently as a skipper.
Objectives of the Basic Sailing Course: This course begins with boat familiarization (check-in) on the first day, followed by practical exercises in mooring and unmooring at the starting port the next day. On the third day, participants embark on a pre-planned route, navigating to different locations each day to learn maneuvering, sailing, anchoring, navigation, and other essential aspects of boat management. Accompanied by your skipper instructor, you will navigate the waters around Pula, Cape Kamenjak, and Brijuni National Park. Throughout the program, participants (in the presence of the skipper instructor) spend time on board, simulating real-life scenarios they might encounter during a sea voyage. This ensures a comprehensive learning environment. The course concludes with the return to the starting port on the final day, allowing participants to consolidate the skills and experience gained during the trip. Upon request, the Croatian B-license exam can be taken at the end of the course.
